QAZ: Network worm
Qualitative Assessment: Analyses general structures and systems currently in place; typically involves risk mapping and risk matrices
Quantitative Assessment: Analyses the actual numbers and values involved; typically applies mathematical and statistical techniques and modeling
Quantification: Objective measure of the seriousness of a risk or its impact, often measured in financial or regulatory terms
Quarantine: 1) Isolate files suspected of containing a virus, so that the files cannot be opened or executed; 2) restriction of activities of healthy persons or animals who have been exposed to a case of communicable disease during its period of communicability to prevent disease transmission during the incubation period if infection should occur; 3) absolute or complete quarantine is the limitation of freedom of movement of those exposed to a communicable disease for a period of time not longer than the longest usual incubation period of that disease; 4) modified quarantine is a selective, partial limitation of freedom of movement of contacts, based on known or presumed differences in susceptibility and related to the danger of disease transmission
