The CPM Hall of Fame Panel is responsible for voting candidates into the CPM Hall of Fame and is comprised of The CPM Group's Editorial Advisory Board, as of January 1 of the current year, and all past Hall of Fame inductees. The 2007 inductees will be announced and presented with their awards during the CPM 2008 EAST Conference & Exhibition.
1. CPM Audience Nominates Individuals/Companies
Several months before the CPM
Conference & Exhibition, the entire Contingency Planning
& Management audience is invited to
nominate individuals or companies who have made outstanding
contributions to the business continuity planning field. Those placing
nominations must provide a rationale for nominating each individual or company
in no more than 1000 words, and they also are encouraged to provide information
on each nominee in the form of a résumé, letter of recommendation, biographical
sketch, and/or company profile. Nominations are sent to CPM via Internet
nomination submission form.
Nominees fit into four categories:
2. CPM Selects Finalists from the Field of Nominees
The staff of CPM is responsible for selecting finalists from the
nominations submitted. A maximum of five finalists from each category will be
selected for review and vote by the Hall of Fame Panel of Judges. In the
Practitioner and Vendor Practitioner categories, only one nominee per company
or organization or its parent or subsidiary can be selected as a finalist.
The following criteria (in no particular order or weight) will be considered by CPM when selecting finalists:
3. Hall of Fame Panel of Judges Selects Inductees
The five finalists from each category are presented to the Hall of Fame Panel
for voting. Panelists wishing not to participate in the selection process may
opt out. A secret ballot is sent to each panel member via U.S. mail (or e-mail
if requested), along with the supporting nominating materials submitted for
each finalist.
Candidates are awarded 2 points for each "First Choice" selection from the Panel and 1 point for each "Second Choice." In each of the four categories, the finalist with the most points will be named to the CPM Hall of Fame. In the case of a tie, CPM will refer to the criteria listed in Step 2 to determine the winner.
