This presentation will describe the strategic value of pursuing one of the highly recognized designations within the international security profession as a means to enhance your professional competencies, advance your career, and seek personal achievement. As a foundation for this conversation, we will offer a view of the changing landscape for the human capital needs as to the desired standards for certain knowledge, skills and – qualifiers to measure these professional proficiencies.
Critical resource information will be provided to the attendees concerning the three (3) ASIS International certifications, inclusive of: the criteria of each certification, the eligibility requirements; the examination structure and process; the subject matter domains; and the concepts for preparing for the examination. With regard to the latter, we will engage the attendees with a “mini review” program of a domain followed by a practice examination. We will conclude this presentation with the requirements for maintaining these professional credentials and the availability of various educational programs for the continuum of “building career competencies.
