Dr. Mari Maeda is a program manager in the Information Innovation Office (I2O) currently focusing on the development of mobile applications on secure handheld platforms using an agile 'develop/deploy/enhance' model tightly coupled to direct end-user input.
Dr. Maeda's previous efforts span multiple domains. She led the development of Tactical Ground Reporting System (TIGR) which was successfully transitioned to the Army in 2011. She was also responsible for demonstrating two-way free-form speech translation system on handheld devices.
Dr. Maeda holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she specialized in quantum optics and quantum communications.
