Clear Blue Security Now Offers Free Endpoint Security Management
Clear Blue Security, a global leader in endpoint security management, has altered its business model to offer small and medium-sized businesses free full-featured endpoint security software. Interested parties can download Clear Blue Security for free, providing an instantaneous assessment of their entire endpoint security situation that includes every desktop PC and even laptops outside the network.
Clear Blue Security monitors, detects and reports endpoint security vulnerabilities, including the monitoring of installed malware applications, providing status on updates and patching, implementing a company wide security policy, monitoring installed but unapproved software, alerting suspicious and possibly malicious traffic and scanning network facing IPs for unwanted open ports.
By managing endpoint security with Clear Blue Security, companies and IT managers significantly reduce operating expenses and improve overall company productivity.
“Since the launch of Clear Blue Security in 2008 we discovered the dire need for a solution that every small and medium sized business can implement to monitor and report the status of endpoint security 24/7," said Dennis Thomsen, CEO of Clear Blue Security. "Clear Blue Security provides a free solution that makes it easier to manage the security of these increasingly complicated network infrastructures through use of a “virtual” endpoint security expert that proactively monitors every networked or mobile computer. Combining enterprise-grade capabilities with no licensing fees and no contract requirements is a no-brainer for the small and medium sized companies.”
“The small and medium sized business market proved to be grossly unaware of the immediate threat endpoint vulnerabilities pose to business continuity and potential data loss," he said. "The cost of driving the awareness became prohibitive and we are hoping a free version of our highly valuable software will virally promote the need for better protection.”
The company has plans to increase the level of automation of Clear Blue Security but is not disclosing the details of features and timing. “We are continuing to add more assessment and reporting features and will be offering a version with automated remediation services in the not too distant future,” said John Sirvydas, CTO of Clear Blue Security. “There is no other free endpoint security management suite that deploys within minutes and provides complete network visibility from one browser based console.”
A recent investigation conducted by Clear Blue Security included 125 small and medium-sized companies and revealed 100 percent of the networks had at least one critical security vulnerability. A majority of the vulnerabilities were considered fundamental and could be easily avoided with an endpoint security management tool in place.
