Datalink Launches Multisite, Long-distance Lab Capabilities

Datalink, an independent information storage architect, launched new long-distance, site-to-site demo capabilities between Atlanta, Minneapolis and Chicago. Simulating real-world environments with primary and secondary data centers, Datalink labs enable IT organizations to see and validate technologies used for site-to-site disaster recovery, replication and WAN optimization.

In addition to visiting one of three physical labs, customers can elect to utilize Datalink virtual labs, enabling demos to be conducted from the convenience of their office. Beyond demos, Datalink labs also can serve as test sites for performance and interoperability testing.

"With IT investments now being scrutinized more than ever before, customers are spending a significant amount of time conducting due diligence prior to moving ahead with new technology purchases," said Rob Beyer, senior vice president of field operations, at Datalink. "Our multisite lab capabilities help customers see and validate how different technologies work together in practice, which helps them reduce risk and drive a better overall return on investment."
