The Fukushima disaster resulted in major supply chain issues for Japanese auto and chip manufactures. These companies had a BCP and they did require their supply chain partners to also have a BCP. But did they go far enough and require their their business partners to test their plans at the same time. The same time and the fact that many of their supply chain partners were in the same geographic area contributed to a large part of the supply chain problems.
